Weekend Recap

Another interesting weekend has gone by, yet again. I got home to my parents house on Thursday night, and visited with them for a bit before heading out to see some friends. It was an early night because I had to work Friday at the law office. Friday after work, Zachary called and asked me to come over and watch a movie. It was the first time I’ve ever been to his house. It’s an old farm house, and they have barns and lots of land. We watched Iron Man. It was awesome. I’m completely comfortable around his family, and this was only the second time meeting them. They are so down to earth, and funny!

Saturday I had to work yet again, then Saturday night my Joshie had a party. I always love Josh’s parties. The whole crew showed up, minus a few who decided the bar is more fun, yuck. So we sat around the fire, drank beer and laughed at our drunken selves all night. In the morning, we decided to all go out to breakfast at the 730 Truck Stop. Best idea ever! They have a m a z i n g breakfast.

After breakfast everyone toured home. Pat and I stayed at Josh’s house for a bit. I wanted to see his horses. He has 11 horses, and I have completely fallen in love with a male bay named Flicka. He is the sweetest, most even temptered animal. I told Josh about how much I miss being around animals and what not. So we discussed it, and I’m going over next Saturday, and I’m going to spend time with Flicka, groom him, and help Josh train him, and eventually ride him. I loveee Josh.

My friend Missy had her baby. She wasn’t due until sometime in January. She had a baby boy, 1 pound 6 ounces. I guess she had gone to the local hospital complaining about being in pains, so they checked her out, and did some tests, then immediately transferred her to a hospital in Toronto. Later that night she had a C-section. From what I’ve heard, both momma and baby are doing okay for now.

Happy Thanksgiving :)

Tuna’s party on friday night went well. We all did some really dumb shit though. The boys decided to play with fire and gasoline. It was crazy! The only injuries were burnt workboots and burnt eyelashes. Josh burnt his boots, and jeans, and my boyfriend singed his eyebrows. Crazy kids! I drank far too much whisky, and decided to take a rip on the fourwheeler. I’m surprised I didn’t kill myself. Thankfully Josh knew the trails we were on, or else I’d be lost. I’m lucky I’ve been riding bikes as long as I have, or else I’d probably kill myself. I do stupid shit sometimes. That was definitely something I’m not proud of.

I was a sick, sick girl on Saturday morning. I got home from the party around 11:30am, and went right back to bed. I didn’t get out of bed until 7 that night. Had a shower, and went to town to meet up with some friends. It was a pretty chill night.

Zach and I have been dating for a month now, and I met a bunch of his family on Sunday. He invited me out to his grandmother’s house for thanksgiving dinner. I was a wreck, I was SO nervous. I hate doing the whole meet the family thing. I like to make a good impression, and I get really really nervous. It went really well though (: his family is super sweet! They were all so nice, they all talked to me, and asked me lots of questions to get to know me and stuff. They made me feel really comfortable. I met his parents, grandma, and a bunch of his aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Anways, I hope all the Canadians had a good thanksgiving weekend (: I know I did. I ate wayyy too much turkey, I had to put my sweat pants on, lol. I had Zach’s family dinner on Sunday, and I helped my Mom make our dinner today. Meg spent the night at my place last night, so she stayed for dinner today. After we got everything prepared for mom, we headed out on the fourwheelers. I broke my bike ): The chain and the sprockets are gone. Dad won’t have time to fix it for a few months. So I have no fourwheeler to look forward to when I go home on weekends, and that breaks my heart.

Well, I need to go take a nap after all that turkey haha. PS… I need some suggestions for a hosting company… good packages, good prices, remember I’m a poor college kid! xo.

Happy birthday Meg!

Well, it’s Thanksgiving weekend, so dad came to pick me up yesterday, and brought me home for the weekend.  I got home around 2:00, and hung out with my daddy for a bit.  My lil’ brother got home around 3, and his buddy came up with his fourwheeler, so the 3 of us went trailblazing and mudding for a few hours.  I got a little bit dirty!  I like getting dirty haha.  I swear I should’ve been a boy.  We decided to hit up my f a v o u r i t e sandpit, and I was very disappointed when I got there.  Someone destroyed an S10 right in the middle of the pit and lit it on fire.  There were pieces of the truck everywhere.  Why do people do such stupid shit?  It irritates me.  I shouldn’t complain, because there are three other pits, but this one was my favourite.  I didn’t stay out on the bike for too long because my entire body still aches from the Mud Bogs last weekend.

Last night was basically the same night as every other night when I’m home.  I went to Blockhouse, and all my friends came out.  We basically just park our cars and sit on picnik benches and chill, and laugh.  I laugh so much with my friends that my ribs hurt by the end of the night.

Meg, one of my best friends, turns the big 2-1 today, so we’re celebrating tonight out at Tuna’s house.  His real name is Chris, but his nickname is Tuna haha, don’t ask why, cause I honestly don’t know!  So i’m looking forward to whisky, tailgates, country music, and a bonfire tonight.  I can’t wait.  I went to the liquor store on my lunch break today and I was standing in line, waiting to pay for my big bottle of whisky, and my b o s s walks in!  He walks over and says hello, looks at my whisky bottle, asks if I was getting ready for the long weekend, and then laughs.  Can you say awkward?  He’s in there buying the most expensive wines you can get, and I’m buying whisky. Ahh! Ha.
